1. Who we are
Therapy For Now is a private therapy practice run by _______________, offering art therapy, psychotherapy and counselling. Mona is the data controller for personal information collected through this website.
If you have any questions about how your data is handled, you can contact us at [email protected].
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website (therapyfornow.com). It covers the contact form, the booking widget, and technical data collected automatically when you visit.
Information shared during therapy sessions is confidential and subject to a separate agreement provided at the start of therapy. There are limited circumstances where confidentiality may need to be broken, such as where there is a serious risk of harm — this is explained fully before therapy begins.
3. What data we collect
| Source | Data collected |
|---|---|
| Contact form | Name, email address, service interest, your message |
| Booking widget | Name, email address, selected appointment time (processed by Cal.com) |
| Automatic | IP address, browser type, pages visited (collected by Cloudflare for security and performance) |
Please do not include sensitive health information in the contact form. Clinical matters are best discussed during a session.
4. How and why we use your data
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry via the contact form | Legitimate interest — you contacted us and expect a reply |
| Scheduling an appointment via the booking widget | Pre-contractual steps at your request |
| Keeping the website secure and functioning | Legitimate interest — website security |
5. Cookies
This website uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for security and functionality. We do not use any advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
- Cloudflare sets security cookies (e.g.
__cf_bm) to protect the site from bots. These expire within 30 minutes. - Cal.com (the booking widget) may set functional cookies needed to complete a booking.
Because these cookies are strictly necessary, no consent banner is required under UK regulations. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your data to anyone. The following services process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare — website hosting and security (privacy policy)
- Cal.com — appointment scheduling (privacy policy)
- Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may log your IP address (privacy policy)
7. International transfers
Cloudflare and Cal.com are based in the United States. Your data may be processed outside the UK under appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and UK adequacy decisions where applicable.
8. How long we keep your data
- Contact form enquiries: 12 months, then deleted — unless you become a client
- Booking data: for the duration of the therapeutic relationship, then in line with professional retention requirements
- Cloudflare logs: retained by Cloudflare in accordance with their data retention policy (typically up to 72 hours)
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data
- Restrict or object to how we use your data
- Receive your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be noted on the main website.
